Week 1: Thinking in Models: What models are, why they simplify, and how to judge whether a simplification helps.
This module builds the shared toolkit for the rest of the program. The goal is not to memorize a single theory of choice, but to learn how to move between simplified models, observed behavior, and normative questions while producing concrete notes and decision analyses each week.
By the end of the module, you should be able to name the assumptions behind a model, explain what the model reveals and hides, compare economic, psychological, and philosophical ways of interpreting the same choice, and revise a claim when the evidence is weaker than expected.
